K TYPE (CHROMEL va ALUMEL) oksidlovchi, inert yoki quruq qaytaruvchi atmosferalarda qo'llaniladi. U oltingugurtli va ozgina oksidlovchi atmosferalardan himoyalangan bo'lishi kerak. U ishonchli va yuqori haroratlarda yuqori aniqlikka ega.

K turining o'ziga xos xususiyati shundaki, u kuchli antioksidlanish xususiyatiga ega va oksidlovchi va inert atmosferada doimiy ravishda ishlatilishi kerak. Uzoq muddatli foydalanish harorati 1000 ℃ va qisqa muddatli foydalanish harorati 1200 ℃. Bu barcha termojuftlar orasida eng keng qo'llaniladigan hisoblanadi; (gaz atmosferasini kamaytirish uchun ishlatilishi mumkin emas).
